Ahl-Masr first foundation in Egypt to cure facial burns

Everyone must have felt the feeling of being burned but not everyone have felt the feeling of being stigmatized due to burned wounds. Ahl-Masr is the first no-profit foundation in Egypt and Africa dedicated for treating, preventing and researching burn injuries of the victims of fire incidents and it is located in Cairo and established in 2013.

Ahl-Masr stated in the official website“37% of burn victims die because there are not enough burn centers providing medical care.”

This is one of the reasons why Ahl-Masr foundation decided to build a specialized hospital so they could save the fire incident victims before it’s too late due to that they can die after 6 hours if they weren’t transferred immediately to a hospital and also another reason is the shortage of specialized hospitals and medical care in Egypt that the burned cases who are burned by 20% dies because they weren’t treated in an advanced way.

Ahl-Masr stated in the website “The hospital provides ….. Not only provides medical service but provides psychological as well as social support and career rehabilitation for victims so that they can become active members of society once again.”

People who witness fire incidents go through a lot of pain not only physically but also mentally, so to help them to go through it Ahl-Masr will provide a whole system full of specialized medical care, a psychological rehabilitation, skin and blood bank and research centers that search to find the best treatments for the burned injuries.

Ahl- masr cures people from the money that they get from donations and they are using it also to build the hospital that will open its doors at the early of 2021 in the 1st settlement in new Cairo that will consist of 175 beds.

Ahl Masr foundation is going to make a difference, because among all the hospitals in Egypt they are the only ones who treat people who suffers from severe burned injuries and that is going to fill a gap that existed in the Egyptian hospitals. Although their last campaign in Ramadan bothered a lot of people due to the violent visuals that they placed in the advertising, and that affected their reputation a little bit.
