Many of us perceive celebrities to be the most beautiful, flawless, successful human beings, who are living the best of their lives. In fact, life is not what it looks like and you shouldn’t be fooled by appearances. Here are the stories of six celebrities and influencers all over the world, who proved that a person isn’t defined by physical appearance or skin texture. As they managed to turn their apparent flaws into the most real assets and aren’t ashamed of that.
“A lot of people around me advised me to start a new business or a different career because most people will not accept me the way I am. This made me think deeply about retiring.”
Ramy Gamal is an Egyptian Musician who has announced his infection with the “Vitiligo” disease. He reveals his attempts to hide and cover up his skin in order to avoid making people around him feel uncomfortable about getting ‘infected’. Despite, the love he has for his career, he thought of retiring as many people advised him to do as no one will accept him like that but then he decided to accept himself and continue without hiding his scars.
Also, Karen Wazen is another example of a very successful well-known model and Instagram blogger that has been suffering from Vitiligo without being embarrassed or ashamed of that. In addition to Winnie Harlow, Victoria’s Secret model, and many others.
“"I discovered I had vitiligo around two years ago, and it is truly the moment I understood how important it was to love yourself and body as is with all its changes, perfections, and imperfections," Karen Wazen said.”
Moreover, Kim Kardashian, whom people perceive as a flawless woman, has a genetic disease called “ Psoriasis”. It is a condition in which some red crusts covered with white scales appear on the skin. In addition to Victoria Beckham, the founder of Victoria's Secret Empire & the American Model, Taylor Hill, who suffer from Acne spots on their faces and always ask people on Social Media for advice to hide them.

These are all examples that show that skin issues are not a barrier to have a happy, satisfactional, and successful life. It is in fact, the choice of each person to deal with the condition and to accept it. But, what stays unchanging is that our flaws in appearance don't diminish our inner individuality. Nothing limits your success!
